- Fiona Boyce first represented Australia in a Test Series against Germany in 2009. Weeks later she impressed after being called up to the 2009 Champions Trophy team becoming a key defender in the line up as the Hockeyroos went on to win silver.
- The midfielder continued to come of age and won a gold medal with the Hockeyroos at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
- Her brother Michael Boyce has also represented Australia in hockey, winning a silver medal at the 2006 World Cup and placing fourth in the 2006 Champions Trophy. Her uncle Grant Boyce competed in hockey at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
- Boyce studied law and commerce and is hoping to become a commercial lawyer alongside a successful career with the Hockeyroos.
