  • Emily Little is an all around specialist and her skills across each of the apparatus have seen her recently be the lead off competitor for the team, a pressure-packed role that needs to perform strongly to ensure the team gets off to a strong start.
  • Little had an accomplished junior career which saw her claim medals in the USA, France and at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in Sydney where she won gold in her favoured event, the vault.
  • She had a breakthrough performance at senior level at the 2010 Pacific Rim Championships where she finished top eight in each of her disciplines that included winning silver on the vault, finishing 3rd with the team and 5th in the all around event. This performance became invaluable to Little as she was unable to compete at the 2010 Australian Championships but made the Delhi Commonwealth Games team off the back of her strong showing.
  • Alongside London teammates Lauren Mitchell and Ashleigh Brennan, Little finished with gold in the teams event and silver in the all around at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
  • Competing at her first senior Australian Championships in 2012, Little competed admirably as she won three silvers in the all around, vault and floor to stake her claim for the Australian team in London.
