- Lauren Reynolds will make her Olympic debut in London after securing the second place on offer for Australia's women in a tough fought battle with teammate Melinda McLeod. At the time of Olympic selections, Reynolds was ranked number 5 in the world, one place ahead of McLeod.
- Reynolds claimed bronze in the final of the rain-affected BMX test event for the 2012 London Olympics. She also took out second place in the time trial.
- At the 2011 BMX World Championships, Reynolds was the highest finishing Australian athlete, placing 11th. At the end of 2011, Reynolds was Australia's top-ranked female BMX rider, with Melinda McLeod and Caroline Buchanan also placing in the top 10.
- In 2003, Reynolds was crowned the World Junior BMX Champion after taking out the title in front of a home crowd in Perth.
