  • With a silver medal already to her name, Lucinda Fredericks will be returning to Olympic competition as she looks to bring Australia back to the top of the podium and take home Olympic gold in London.
  • Fredericks began riding horses at the age of three. She completed one of her dreams as a child as she won the 2007 Badminton four star event held in Gloucestershire, Great Britain.
  • Fredericks was born in Malawi, grew up in the UK and also spends much of her time in Germany. She was formally a representative of the British team but became an Australian citizen after marrying her husband and London teammate Clayton Fredericks. The dynamic duo competed alongside each other in the team event in Beijing and will again be side by side when they take to the challenging course at Greenwich Park.
  • Making a late bid for selection at the 2012 CCI4* Luhmuhlen in Germany, Fredericks finished second aboard ten-year-old gelding Flying Finish to secure her and the horse's spot at the London Games.
  • Her skill in bringing out the best in others was recognised as she became the team trainer for the Dutch eventing team.
