  • Aaron Younger is the youngest member of the Sharks squad and will represent Australia at the pinnacle of sporting events having made his international debut as a 17-year-old in 2009.
  • Giving up swimming for water polo when he was 10, Younger has proved himself through the junior ranks and was a part of the successful 2009 Australian University team that won gold at the World University Games. This was the first international gold Australia had won in men's water polo.
  • Still young enough to compete at junior level, Younger impressed at the 2010 Junior World Championships where Australia finished 7th. Later that year he began competing in Hungary, a traditional powerhouse of the sport, for club team Szeged in a bid to improve his game in the lead up to London.
  • Younger was a part of the team that went close to winning a medal at the 2010 World League finals and has since been a regular performer on the international stage at World Cup, League and Championship level. He gave Australia a chance to win Pan Pacific gold in 2012 after an incredible steal when Australia were down two players late to ensure the clash against the USA went to extra time, however the Sharks could not capitalise and took home silver.
  • When in Australia Younger competes for the Fremantle Marlins in the National Water Polo League. He won the national title with the team in 2009.
