Robin Bell improved to an 8th place finish in Slovakia

AIS/WAIS slalom canoeist Robin Bell has begun to find form on the World Cup circuit, making the final of the second World Cup meet of the season.

Bell, who won the bronze medal in the C1 at the 2008 Olympic Games, missed out on the medals at the meet in Bratislava, Slovakia but improved on his semi-final placing at the opening meet of the season two weeks ago. The 31-year old finished in 8th place as hometown hero and two time Olympic Gold Medallist Michal Martikan won the event.

Fellow AIS/WAIS scholarship holder Robin Jeffery could only manage 43rd place after his two qualifying runs which wasn’t enough to proceed to the semi-finals.
