WAIS athlete Janine Murray has completed a busy competition schedule at the Commonwealth Games after appearing in three apparatus finals last night in Delhi.

Murray qualified for the apparatus finals of ball, ribbon and rope and proudly represented the Australian colours alongside triple gold medallist Naazmi Johnston.

Johnston won a third gold medal in last night’s ball final with a beautiful routine that scored 25.100. Murray was again impressive through her routine and executed her skills confidently, earning a score of 23.250 for sixth place.

The Zimbabwean born Murray enjoyed her best performance in the ribbon final scoring 23.550 for fifth position, only just outside the medals. Johnston claimed silver for Australia.

Murray also performed a solid error free routine in the rope final for another sixth place finish, with a score of 22.900, rounding out a successful campaign from the Claremont resident. Her highlight came in the team final, where she helped Australia to gold.
