Mainstone Vying for the Win

West Australian open water swimmer and FINA World Cup gold medallist Rhys Mainstone will have tough competition in the 2013 BHP Billiton Aquatic Super Series Open Water Challenge here in Perth next week.

 

 

It will be a intence competition on Sunday the 20th of January down at the Swan River, as international superstars will all be vying for the winner-take-all $15,000 in prize money in the 10km open water swim.

 

 

The latest athlete entry is US Olympian Alex Meyer, along with Kiwi Kane Radford and English Channel world record holder Trent Grimsey, who are also set to swim.

 

 

West Australian breaststroker Sally Foster, who is now based in South Australia, was named in the Australian women’s team for the BHP Billiton Aquatic Super Series along with WAIS athlete Yolane Kukla.
