Published On: 1 March 2018

Three time WAIS Athlete of the Year and eight time World Champion, Cameron Meyer is set to commence his campaign at the 2018 UCI Track World Championships this Saturday in Apeldoom, Netherlands.

Meyer was recently selected upon the 2018 Track Worlds team in alignment with Cycling Australia’s 2020 High Performance strategy.

This strategy ensures that all athletes are carefully selected with both team and individual long-term goals in mind.

Cameron Meyer will contest the Madison alongside teammate Callum Scotson at the UCI Track World Championships.

Collectively they will be looking to improve on their silver medal placing from 2017.

So far this season the pairing have collected gold at the London Six Day last October and the UCI World Cup in Poland last November.

In addition to the Madison, Meyer will also defend his points race crown.

Cameron will first race in the points race on Saturday at 1:30am (AWST) before contesting the Madison title at 10:30pm (AWST) on Sunday night.
