Western Australian Institute of Sport swimmer Brianna Throssell has been named in the Australian Team for the World Junior Swimming Championships to be held in Lima, Peru in August.

Throssell was one of the brightest talents at the recent national age championships in Adelaide, pocketing seven medals, including three gold as the 15 year-old was named in Swimming Australia’s Junior All-Stars team at the culmination of the meet.

The young gun who is coached by Ian Mills at the City of Perth Swimming Club will most likely kick off and end her World Junior Championship program as a member of the prestigious Australian Relay Team with the 4x200m Freestyle relay earmarked for Day one of competition whilst the 4x100m Medley relay will close the final night of competition.

Throssell will also feature in a handful of individual events throughout the tough six-day program that will pit her against the best young swimmers the world has to offer.
