Today at the Birmingham Games – August 6

The Hockeyroos are through to the gold medal game following a thriller against India in the semifinal, with a shootout deciding who would advance.

A busy day in Birmingham awaits for WA athletes. Kristina Krstic has made the gold medal game in lawn bowls. In athletics defending champion Kurtis Marschall eyes gold in the pole vault along with Angus Armstrong, and Matt Ramsden takes on the 5000m.

It is semifinal time for the Kookaburras and Diamonds who both play England for spots in their respective finals, Caitlin Parker in boxing and Paul Burnett in beach volleyball. Plus Maddison Keeney and Nikita Hains are both in action in the diving and Tom Barns in wrestling.
