Today at the Birmingham Games – August 7

Kristina Krstic, Kurtis Marschall and Maddison Keeney all claimed gold on an outstanding Saturday in Birmingham, with WA athletes claiming five medals. Caitlin Parker claimed a second consecutive medal at the Games with boxing bronze and Tom Barns added wrestling bronze in his Games debut.

More medals will be heading back to Perth as Courtney Bruce and Sunday Aryang play in the netball gold medal game, Aleisha Power, Karri Somerville, Penny Squibb, Shanea Tonkin and Georgia Wilson and the Hockeyroos chase gold in the final, as does Paul Burnett on the sand.

Maddison Keeney will compete for a second medal, Peter Bol, Julian Konle and Declan Tingay will be up in athletics and Luke Durbridge contests the men’s road race.
