WAIS Pole Vaulters continue Olympic qualification hunt at Sir Graeme Douglas International in Auckland and WA State Championships.

With Kurtis Marschall obtaining the Olympic qualifying height of 5.80 metres at the Jandakot Airport Track Classic at the start of February the rest of the WAIS Pole Vault squad eye Olympic qualifies of their own this weekend.
 
Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Nina Kennedy leads the charge at the Sir Graeme Douglas International in Auckland. The Continental Tour Bronze event in New Zealand offers a chance to jump the qualifying height and secure qualifying points for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
 
Joining Kennedy in Auckland is Angus Armstrong, who after jumping a new PB of 5.63 metres is edging closer to automatic qualifier. Declan Carruthers and Stephen Clough will also be in action.

In other events in Auckland, Luke Cann will compete in the men’s javelin and Aaron Bresland in the men’s 100m
 
Back in Perth, Liz Parnov will contest the WA State Championships as she continues her return to jumping from a full run up. The WAIS underpinning squad lead by Lauren Hyde-Cooling will also compete.
