Fresh off his 4x100m relay medal Zac Incerti has helped Australia in to the final of the 4x200m freestyle relay.

Given the important responsibility of anchoring the team, Incerti dived in to the pool with Australia in third trailing Great Britain and the United States. Incerti’s turn of speed saw him speed home in 7:05.00, to safely book a spot in the final, his 1:45.58 the fastest split of the Aussies.

The 25-year-old was pleased with his performance. “Absolutely, my main job tonight in that heat was to just get the team through, so I knew the Yanks were hot on our tails so I was just trying to hold them off the best I can.
