WAIS graduate Zac Incerti has claimed his third gold of the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games with success in the 4x200m freestyle relay.

After an interrupted preparation impacted his individual swims Incerti was again on the top step of the podium. Combining with Elijah Winnington, Flynn Southam and Mack Horton, the quartet set a new Games Record of 7:04.96. Incerti’s split of 1:46.08 was equal fastest of the Australian Team.

“It’s bigger than me and I just wanted to give my best tonight,” said Incerti.

In a busy day for the 26-year-old he also finished eighth in the 100m freestyle.

Four years on from winning silver on the Gold Coast, Holly Barratt repeated her 50m butterfly performance with another silver medal.

Barratt’s time of 26.05 saw her dead heat with Erin Gallgher (South Africa) for the silver medal, just over one tenth of a second behind Australian teammate Emma McKeon.
