The panel will evaluate and rate current and proposed players against the WAIS Selection Criteria.

The WAIS Head Coach will then submit athlete names to the WAIS Coaching Group Manager: Invasion Sports for ratification. Once approved, these names will be forwarded to the WAIS Executive Director for endorsement. Membership to the Program is not confirmed until the athlete has completed all WAIS administrative requirements.

SELECTION CRITERIA
The Selection Panel assess athletes in seven separate categories: Physical, Tactical, Technical, Psychological, Behaviour, External and Competition and in the four separate Scholarship types: World Class, International Class, Emerging International and Potential International.

Each Scholarship type and relating category has attributes that measure and describe the abilities, capabilities and possibilites of a typical athlete within. Based on the Selection Panel discussons and recommendations the selected athletes will then be offered Scholarships within the different categories.
