WAIS athletes Carly Wilson and Sam Richards have been named in Basketball Australia's 25 member squad for the 2008 Beijing Games.
Wilson and Richards who play in the Australian Women's National Basketball League for the Perth Lynx are the only representatives from WA and will take place in the team along with Superstar Lauren Jackson.
The Opals earned silver in Athens and will again be in serious contention in the final stages of the tournament.
Wilson is 25 years old and was born in Melbourne, she plays as a guard or forward and has won two WNBL titles at Dandenong in 2003-04 and 2004-05.
Richards is also 25 and likewise was born in Melbourne. Her playing position is guard and was also a part of Dandenong's 2003-04 and 2004-05 title winning teams.
