The six event omnium was next on the agenda for King, with the medical student again showcasing her versatility to win the flying lap to take and early lead before she placed second in the points race and then had a run of victories in the elimination race, individual pursuit and scratch race to set up an unbeatable lead going into the 500m time trial where she placed fourth.

Rounding out a thoroughly successful world cup campaign, King earned silver in the individual pursuit to come away with three medals from three events.

The second round will be staged in Glasgow, Scotland from 16-18 November with the third and final round scheduled for Aguascalientes, Mexico 17 to 19 January.
