WAIS athletes impress at the Melbourne Track Classic

The Athletics Australia Coles Summer Super Series continued at the Melbourne Track Classic with WAIS athletes again impressing with some early season form.

The evening started with Ian Dewhurst taking out the men’s 400m hurdles in 50.91secs.

In the discus world championship medallist Sarah Edmiston put down another Paralympic qualifier with her best throw 36.77 metres, to give her a fourth qualifier for the Tokyo Paralympic Games.

2019 World Championship representative Matthew Ramsden finished second in 5000m, that doubled as the National Championship. Ramsden’s time of 13mins 48.67secs, his fastest time since 2015.
